This book is good! She’s a bit annoying and I didn’t find her reactions overly realistic and I found them very chaotic but she does have the most epic line that makes the book absolute fire!!!! IYKYK

Juliana is heading out of her apartment for a business trip when her overreactive boyfriend starts a fight. When the soon-to-be ex lays hands on Juliana, she heads out the door, thankful for this trip. Upon reaching the hotel with her coworkers, they discover there has been an overbooking mishap, leading to Jules and her "work husband," Jake, having to share a room. The catch? That room only has one bed!
Wow! I had a lot of preconceived thoughts before I started this book. I had never read about revenge cheating, and my general opinion on cheating is a definite no-go. Well, Amanda Bentley sure changed my mind, at least when it comes to fiction. I found myself rooting for her and Jake the whole time. When Jake said Juliana could use him for whatever she needed, he meant it.
And THAT SCENE. Anyone who has read "Irresistible Revenge" knows which scene I'm talking about. I won't give anything away because this was a jaw-dropping moment I don't want to ruin. However, my mixed feelings were all over the place. I was happy, excited, and slightly grossed out all at the same time. I loved it! I recommend reading this book just for that scene. It was amazing.
The book is still filled with a lot of spice and what seemed like a realistic timeline for the relationships. There is more substance to the story than just a quick romp leading to a happily ever after. "Irresistible Revenge" is a very well-written novella that left me happy after I read it!

THIS IS BOOK FIVE FROM FOURTEEN SHADES OF RED VALENTINES DAY ROMANCE NOVELLA COLLECTION SERIES.

When I first read the title and the blurb, I thought the boyfriend cheated on Jules, but what he did was so much worse. I was boiling. And he absolutely got what he deserved. I'm glad Jules "cheated" on him with Jake. I don't even wanna say cheat, it was plain and simple, a f*ck you, to Daniel, and I was cheering Jules on every step of the way. The spice was so hot. I loved this book so much and I can't wait to read more works by Amanda.

I loved how supportive Jake was. He looked out for Jules, and waited for her to come to terms with everything. This story was an amalgam of love, respect, and compassion. It showed how having true friends in your life is so important and they'll stand up for you always and forever.

Girlllll, this was some serious spicy revenge! Like what!? I died in the last chapter haha. It was fast paced and to the point, loved every second of this book & the character development was spectacular! Such an inspiring read & so happy for Juliana that she did what she needed to do & was strong enough mentally to do what she needed to do !. First thing I’ve read of Amanda’s but it definitely won’t be the last.

Title: Irresistible Revenge
Author: Amanda Bentley
Star: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🔥🔥🔥

Release Date: January 25, 2024

Amanda Bentley had me eating this novella up! I've had so many thoughts about this read that I'm just going to do a brain dump as my review. I feel like it'd be the most sincere and best method.

Ok so I'm usually one to avoid the cheating trope, but I will admit that the blurb for the novella caught my attention. I HAD to know what led our amazing FMC to sleep with another, and I am glad I found out. While I may not have done it myself, I am glad that she took matters into her own hands and decided to let not let her jackass of a soon-to-be toxic ex dictate her decisions any longer. What she may done may not be the most moral thing, I feel that after learning her story and what led her to that point she deserves at least a little bit of grace. Also, what she did when the ex showed up was freaking FIRE. I shouted "slay queen slay" out loud and scared my cat in the process. I couldn't help it.

Now, let me talk about the amazing and selfless MMC Bentley was kind enough to give us. Y'all I swear that every time this man opened his damn mouth I fell even harder for him. This man is one would describe as a true gentleman if you ask me and knows exactly how to value a woman and treat her the way she deserves. He was so patient with her and did not guilt her about anything that happened which I truly loved about him.

All in all, I was here for everything that went down in this novella. The drama was absolute fire and exactly what I needed at the time I read this. Congratulations to Bentley for writing what I consider to be a great novella!

It is novella which means it’s short story but not novel long enough. But perfect for quick read and get similar feelings as novel books. This book involved with cheating which I’m not fond of but the blurb of book made me want to read it. I am glad I did read because I ended up loved it after finish read. It does have spicy but too much for me but I liked story overall. I loved all but one characters in the book. The storyline is well written. I hate that it’s norm for some people but I hoped all books have turned out this way. It is very important to check the trigger warnings before start read book to make sure you can handle the novella.

The tropes are included but not limited to:
  • Revenge cheating
  • One bed
  • “Who did this to you”
  • Co-workers to lovers

In the end, the book made me hooked to read it and want know what happens next. Like I mentioned that I love all characters but one - it’s very challenge to love this many in very short novella story. I’m applaud the author for do a great job to pull us into novella and wanted more out of this. I’m highly recommend you to read this.

This novella was very good, I love the theme (revenge), it was fast read. It's my first book by this author which made me very curious, I love the trope: One bed, Co workers to lovers, but the character development was pretty simple and spicy.

Irresistible Revenge by Amand  Bentley is part of the Fourteen Shades of Red novella series. This story, short though it was kinda ripped me apart. It put me back together, but I was in tears for most of it, including the happy ending. Btw, the "car scene" was a vicious tease. Iykyk. Juliana, the FMC, is an abusive relationship (tw...it's open) and is just beginning to realize there is no good outcome to DV. Jake, the MMC, is her coworker, who the rest of the office jokingly calls Juliana's work husband, even though there's been nothing but friendship between them. They, along with other coworkers, go to an out of town work conference together and Jules realizes how much she's missed by allowing her boyfriend to control her life and is suddenly aware of Jake as more than a friendly colleague. A lot happens in a very short space of words in this story. I'm really glad I read them all and was left wanting more.
