I really liked this one - we are out of the school setting and into the camp setting and we get a lot of individual time with her and the guys, plus some group interactions. I loved seeing how things turned from how they were at the end of the first book and how the story progresses. I dived into this series and just read and read and read until I hit the end.

This is the second book in the Ballers of Rockport High, and it definitely does not disappoint. We get to pick up in the summer at the basketball camp the group has gone too since they were in middle school.

We get to see the relationship between Tessa and her Dad more in depth after seeing lots of her relationship with her mom in the previous book. Tessa's relationship with Ryan, Alec, Sloan, Hayes, and Lake intensifies for both the good and the bad. I love that the boys do have minds of their own, and each starts to more further in their relationship with Tessa. E.M. Moore starts to give us more in depth glances into the guys, and their personal struggles that affect their relationships with each other and Tessa. Tessa definitely takes some punches, and is put through the ringer at camp. We get to see just how tough she is as a person.

Can't wait to see what happens when they get back to school now that some things have come to light for the group, and they are starting to see things differently!

Really liked this sequel, although I wished for more out of this book.

I liked Tessa and how strong she was in this book and how she didn't bow down to the 5 boys, or anyone else.

For some reason throughout this book, I started to see Lake in a new light. He is the one who hates Tessa out of the 5 ballers and shows it proudly. But I got a different vibe from him in this book, like there is more to that hate. I hope i'm right because I kind of want to see him get redeemed in the third book. Especially since we found out about his
Spoiler drug addiction, so i'm hoping the author explores addiction and the affects of it and the how and why it started. I think this is such a sensitive topic and also a very important one that doesn't really get explored much in romance books, so i'm hoping she does this topic justice in the next book.
And i'm hoping we get to see Lake being redeemed.

I was lucky enough to receive the first book and this second book as an ARC, but all opinions are my own!

I was dying for this book, and it DID NOT disappoint! There was anger, angst, happiness, love, hate, steamy scenes, etc. Basically everything you could want! The cliffhanger we are left on is giving me anxiety hahaha I cannot wait to see what is in store for everyone after what happened!

10/10 would recommend

Okay, so I definitely liked this second book more… but the im still not sold on the relationships.

There’s just something missing with them & i’m not even really sure what. They’re isn’t a lot of spice scenes (she still hasn’t had actual sex with any of them yet) which never normally bothers me, but it kind of feels disingenuous in this book for some reason.

The only one I like is baby Hayes <33

That being said… I still really like the plot in these books. The sports rivalry is actually amazing

I absolutely loved this series!! Every book! I loved the slow-burn between the FMC and all the guys and the underlying story was just so beautiful! It made me laugh, made me cry and want to punch the guys, then made me swoon! I live EM Moore but this is my favorite series of hers. If you are a fan of books like J Bree’s Hannaford Prep, you will love this series! It’s just so freaking good!!
