This was a nice middle grade story about 3 orphaned girls who were adopted and became sisters. They attend a dance academy school, One is really good at acting, one is good at dancing but the middle sister wants to work with cars and fly planes. They each had a tendency to be brats at times but I liked how they learned from their mistakes and pulled together as a family

Lovely little story I enjoyed as a kid. Not as entertaining as an adult, but still a sweet story. Love the movie they made from it.

This book was just as charming as Meg Ryan’s book shop in You’ve Got Mail. It reminded me of The Penderwicks. This would make a fun read aloud or even a mother -daughter book club. I do, on reflection, feel really bad for all of the adults in the book. It was like outside of the girls, they had nothing.

This is one of the few classics I turn back to often, and I still love it as much as I did the first time I read it.
