Young Love, Second Chance.

I enjoyed this book. I liked how the FMC wasn't perfect, she's got a dark past that she's still coming to terms with. A great group of friends who love her and all her flaws. The details will draw you in, I couldn't put it down until I was finished. Loved the support characters and their personalities they were all so very different but a great group of friends who had each others backs. I gave it 3

I really liked this book. It could have been shorter, but there were some deep conversations that needed to be had. Aubrey had so many issues going back and forth when we all know they’ll end up together.

Jax was a little annoying during parts because he expected her to just give into him early in the book when he knew and acknowledged that he deeply hurt her. Aubrey was also kind of annoying with all the back and forth I love him I love him not.But she went through hell with him (without spoiling anything) and the book was really well written, and emotional in most of the book. The ending is…well…inevitable.

Not a Good Read

This “plot” was so terrible and reads like a tumblr fan-fic. Jax sucks. Don’t read this. It’s all spice and a very bizarre poorly written story. Even the spice is hard to read because I truly did or want these two people ending up together. I will be attempting to erase this entire read from my mind immediately.

No just no. I went through the whole book and kept thinking that the FMC is so annoying. She has no real personality. This book has potential but it missed the mark.

DNF

DNF at 43%. Tried skipping ahead, but I couldn't connect with the weak FMC. It had potential, but it fell flat. It was also 200 pages too long.

I wanted to like this book so bad!  I loved the premise of it; second chance romances are my absolute favorite and when you add on the brother’s best friend aspect, I was so excited.

But I was so disappointed.

The storyline was pretty flimsy. I think it had some really good ideas, but it should have been thought through more. The whole thing with her dad could have been so impactful, but it just fell flat.

The main characters were also incredibly unlikable, which made it really hard for me to finish the book because, at a certain point, I simply didn’t care about their story anymore. 🤷🏻‍♀️
