The Mistletoe Bet

Maren Moore

3.45 AVERAGE

I’ve been feeling a bit Christmas-y lately and snagged this novella for a quick holiday read.

Parker is Quinn’s brother’s best friend and all three of them grew up together until Quinn left for NYC. Reluctant to return, and harboring a hefty dislike of Christmas, Quinn finds herself back home and agreeing to a bet with Parker - that he can make her love Christmas again.

Short, sweet, and steamy, this was a cute read but not anything to write home about.

Nothing I love more then a spicy Christmas novella! Brothers best friend?! Sign me up! The spice was top notch and the story was great!

Such a cute, fun, quick holiday read! And with good spice! Loved every page.

Female Grinch (it happens!)

The female Grinch has met her match! Of course, it’s her older brother’s best friend; the one she had a crush on when she was younger, the same one she discovers she STILL has a crush on. Because of her parent’s divorce and their inability to be in the same room together without an argument, Quinn has decided that Christmas is a sham, just an excuse for people to give and receive presents. Parker has decided that he doesn’t believe Quinn no longer likes Christmas, so he’s going to show her how to love the season again, and perhaps fall for him at the same time, after all, he’s liked her since they were young too. He only has 7 days to prove that she isn’t cold like she thinks. After the seven days, she has to decide what to do about her budding relationship with Parker, does she go back to New York and they try a long distance relationship, does she go back to New York and cut her losses?

Okay this wasn’t good at all but it was pretty fun to read and a great length for the type of story.
