Good story, decent writing, but the ending crescendo dragged long - probably 100 pages of final "action."

Will keep reading the series but am finding the need to mix in actual literature as a palate cleanser. Look forward to the Gary Oldman led season three of Slow Horses to see how this book is adapted. Intrigue and hidden gems mixed in with some cliched writing but more good than bad. Fun, unpretentious books set all over London. Would recommend but the novel is far from the intellectual espionage of Alan Furst and others.

Excellent & fun. I’d seen the series on this one (which was awesome & hilarious at times) before reading this, but still was good with different nuances from the series

4.5 stars. Best of the series so far.
