Roman And Lexi’s book was my most anticipated read in the Toronto Terror series, and I am so happy that Helena gave us two fantastic characters whose relationship was so genuine and meaningful. I absolutely loved their dynamic and the connection that was built between the two of them felt so natural and I enjoyed watching it unfold.

Roman has played such a huge role in the lives of his teammates, and daughter. Being a father, mentor and leader while putting everyone’s needs above his own meant that I was rooting for him to have the most epic love story. I loved his interactions with Lexi.

Heat, heart and humor…this book had it in spades, and I highly recommend this story to anyone who is a sports romance fiend!

If You Love Me by Helena Hunting is the 4th book in the Toronto Terror series but can be read as a standalone. I listened to the audiobook narrated by
Stella bloom and Stephen Dexter and really enjoyed it!

Three years ago Lexi and Roman shared an unforgettable weekend together. Despite not seeing each other since, Roman thinks about Lexi often and what could’ve been if only she hadn’t disappeared without a goodbye. That is until Lexie walks into practice and is introduced as the Terror’s first female assistant coach. Now Roman is faced with the complicated position of being totally gone for his coach while trying to make the best of his last season before retirement. Lexi is working hard to make a name for herself in the hockey world while also being the guardian to her younger sisters. She knew being the assistant coach for Roman’s team would be challenging, she just didn’t expect Roman to remember her.

I was waiting for Roman’s book and it did not disappoint! If You Love Me is full of found family, grief, tension, love, and second chances! I love how Roman and Lexi show up for each other! Roman is such a good dad, the scenes with Lexi’s sisters will melt your heart. Read this if you like:
-hockey romance
-found family
-second chance
-age gap
-forbidden romance
-workplace romance
-alllll the spice! 🔥

A big thank you to Helena Hunting and her team for a copy of this ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Oh my Roman…. I am absolutely head over heels over this man okay? The way he loves and supports those he loves… the way he was with Lexi and the girls… his love for Peggy… seriously, head over heels.

Lexi is my woman crush. I love how she is independent and works hard for her goals. She tried her best to resist Roman, but who can blame her! I love how she became part of the family without hesitation.

I loved the Toronto Terror team, but with this book I fell even harder for them, especially Tristan and Grace. Which brings me to, don’t get me started with Grace. That man… my ovaries exploded more times than not. Roman had my heart during this book, but Grace was right there with him.

I also loved seeing how Flip has grown from If You Hate Me to this one. His character development has been really good and I’m even more excited for his book.

🎧Audiobook: it was really good! Its dual narration and I think the narrators did an incredible job with their performance. It was not hard to follow the story whenever I did the audiobook only.

Overall, I truly loved this book. I loved Lexi and Roman. I loved the gang. I loved seeing all the couples and character grow and develop. If you are looking for a forbidden hockey romance, with the found family trope, then this one is for you!

Roman. Roman. Roman. The man giving major undercover daddy vibes. He’s kind, gentle, and caring. Loves his daughter. Puts her first in everything but behind closed doors, he’s a different kind of daddy.  I couldn’t help but fall in love with him. Neither could Lexi.

Their chemistry jumps off the page. The slow burn was done right. Their forbidden work place romance had me on edge. Will this be the time they are caught? Even though they are doing something innocent like watching Lexi’s little sister play hockey, will this be seen differently from others?  It’s what kept me reading and wanting more. Helena laid out this story perfectly. The timing and pace in which everything happens is perfection.

Just when you think you can’t love a Terror player more, here comes hold my beer, Roman. This man needed a HEA. He raised his daughter and placed his team above all others. He is about to retire, enter stage door left, Lexi. The woman of his 3 year old dreams.  Lexi, the new assistant coach and guardian of  her two sisters. This story is so emotional and Roman just steps in with controlled, calm demeanor to put it all right for us and Lexi.  Roman who is so controlled needs to remain as such where Lexi is concerned. She has so much to lose if there are any rumors, suspicions, etc that they knew each other before or that they had a previous relationship.  Lexi is such a strong and confident coach yet behind closed doors she is not as there is so much personally going on. She compartmentalizes it all. Enter the babe Brigade, who we all know just brings you right in to the family fold. And there is the Connor and Flip problem 🤣 that needs to be fixed. I just love Helena’s writing style. It is with, emotional and funny all rolled together in a neat package. These Hockey  players and their women. 🩵🖤Roman is my new fave character, Right next to Randy Ballistic ❤️

This series is very middle of the road for me.

It’s all too incestuous. Obviously the guys are on the same but why is everyone connected to everyone else? Why do 4 partners work for the team? Secondary characters end up paired with someone later on. I just need them to meet PEOPLE outside of their immediate families/friend’s friend group.
