I listened to it as an audiobook and it was so nice to follow along the unusual friendship of the 17 year-old Lenni and the 83 year-old Margot.
It's a wonderful story about friendship, love, a life well lived and death. The audiobook gave Lenni & Margot so much character it was very relaxing listening to the two readers.
That story showed that there is no age limit for true friendship. Every character felt so special and made this book a perfect comfort read for me.

I am broken. I am 100% completely emotionally broken by this book. It started off a bit lighthearted but from the premise I knew what was coming but I was not expecting to be so affected by it when it did. I sobbed; tears streaming down my face continuously whilst I tried to continue reading this book. It was such a beautiful story; a book of friendship, bravery, courage, honesty, laughter, and determination. I know for a fact that this will be one of my favourite books of the year despite it only being the 3rd January.

Lenni and Margot were beautiful characters and I loved their stories; separately and how they interweaved. Lenni, god Lenni, how do I even begin to explain my love for this brave brave girl who was so kind and caring and sent her father away so she didn't see him suffer and befriended Arthur and Margot and bought so much light. And Margot! Margot who has lead a long life but still has so much more to live; I loved watching her change and fall in love and grieve. The realisation that Humphrey let her go instead of watch him suffer - oh god my heart was destroyed in this moment.

The 100 hundred years of Lenni and Margot is a poignant and heart-breaking novel but it is also about joy and friendship and life. I want to see their pictures in a gallery. It made me smile, it made me laugh, and it made me cry. I will never stop recommending this book and I am so damn glad that I read it.

A beautiful tale of two dying women — one young and one old — and the moments of their lives that made them worth living. This is a story of friendship, love, desire, and curiosity. Margot and Lenni are such a lovable duo — and are phenomenal women on their own. I knew when I read the first page that this book was going to destroy me. It did not disappoint.
