After the death of his mother, no ashes the king, never being a king, obviously, doesn’t know how to rule a kingdom. He has to also protect Lonan even if it isolates him. He knows that it’s selfish.
But when Lonan’s destiny and his suffocation of being isolated, he runs away and kills his mother. 
Now they are both kings.


I put 3.75 because this book is more angsty and the author put their relationship to the test. 
Lack of communication and all.

Revenge was a success and HEA.

this is both ash & lonan’s story, and lonan’s character growth in this finale was absolutely epic as he well deserves, as i’ve already seen other readers mention in their own reviews. but ash…..ash has stuck out to me from the beginning, and in this installment…i genuinely loved seeing his arc so much. he has become one of my most favorite characters of lily mayne, in all his faults & kindness, rest assured.
