This autobiography made my heart pitter patter!! As a beloved character in my favorite series, it was wonderful insight into the world of Harry Potter and beyond. While a bit corny at times, it was giving me all the feels as if I were on set with Tom Felton. I mean his chapter about Emma?!!! 😭😭😭 I truly commend Tom for opening up about his hardships. As a major public figure that everyone knows and loves, someone who holds the physical space for a beloved (and hated) character, and having fame at such a young age, you can’t help but wonder how they handled it all. I would highly encourage any muggle a fan of HP to give this a read or in my case a listen (which adds some extra wittiness and really takes the story to another level). You’ll absolutely love it!!

3⭐️ It was also only okay. It’s hard to tell because I did a lot of reading of it to put me to sleep if I’m honest.

I liked hearing about his background and finding himself and his career after HP the most! There were some cute stories about the cast and filming, but somewhere in the middle it just felt like he couldn’t figure out what was worth telling, so spent chapters describing the other actors.

His chapters on mental health were by far the best parts of this book.

I didn't think that I could love Tom Felton more. This book made me feel for him in ways not many memoirs can do. His candid nature of each chapter had me captivated from the moment I started it. This being my first audio book made it all that much more special, hearing each chapter go by in his voice was like I was actually sitting there with him. Highly recommend even if you aren't a Harry Potter fan this goes way beyond the movies and dives deep into is experiences with fame and being a childhood actor.
