Tom Felton

Tom Felton is more than just Draco Malfoy

I grew up with the Harry Potter films and books. I still read them once a year and watch them whenever I get the chance. Tom has written such a wonderful memoir not only letting us into his personal life but also sharing some amazing moments from the Harry Potter film set. I’ve always been a Draco (movies only) fan and now I have a deeper understanding and respect for both the character and Tom himself. I cannot wait to see what Tom does next!

I listened to the audiobook and highly recommend. Tom did a wonderful job narrating his book. I am sad that it is over and wish I had even more, but I love what Tom shared with us. Some things I did know and there were many things I didn’t know. He spoke with such care of each of his relationships he has made throughout the years of acting and his childhood. I loved this book and recommend it for anyone who loves Harry Potter and especially loved Draco.

As someone who grew up with the Harry Potter books and movies, this was a gold mine of behind-the-scenes stories and memories from that time, and I loved all of it. I also have grown to appreciate Tom Felton later in life after the movies came out, so it was exciting to hear his backstory.

It wasn't a groundbreaking memoir in the sense that he had insurmountable struggles that he overcame, but just like anyone, he has issues and discusses them candidly in this book.

Overall, I enjoyed much of his story and loved listening to him read it.

A book of two halves - the first strictly for Harry Potter fans with fun anecdotes of time on set. The second of his struggles to adjust to adult life post-Potter and his time in rehab. He writes very sweetly and is obviously keen not to offend or upset anyone... can't be easy to have grown up a "celebrity" at such a young age.
