A super fun memoir to read as a Harry Potter (and Tom Felton) fan! He gives lots of great behind the scenes tidbits, fun anecdotes about his fellow cast members, and lots of heartfelt stories about people who have passed from the Harry Potter cast. He also talks about his post-Potter struggles and I thought those chapters were really wise and insightful. Highly recommend reading the audiobook as Tom Felton narrates it and is a delight to listen to!

Definitely a great read growing up with the Harry Potter books and movies. Hearing about Tom's time not only on the HP set but before and after. I agree with what he said that he still has so much life left to live before writing a memoir.

If you know me at all…I obviously wouldn’t give this book any less than 5 stars.

Nice read - a lot of anecdotes about the films and some other things about Tom’s life that I didn’t know before.

I can't believe how much I liked this memoir and now, how much I adore Tom. He's a fun, charming, comedic, humble, and classy guy (a word I typically reserve for dames but struggled to find a suitable synonym). I could have listened to him for another 20 hours. I didn't want this memoir to end.

The Harry Potter books came to me late in life (and long after they'd all been published) but at the right time in my life. I spent an hour crying after one book "I'll never get to be a Weasley!" but because life IS magic, I did become a Weasley 2 years after having read all of the books.

Anyway, because I love the Harry Potter series so much, and they played such a huge role in a massive life change for me, I was hesitant to read this book. I didn't want to hear anything bad about filming, producers, co-stars etc. which is what I find most memoirs like these contain.

Spoiler alert: Everyone is lovely. Phew! It's not gossip-y at all, if that's what you're looking for. It was also so nice to read about a child star who had a modestly normal life and is a grounded human. I highly recommend this coming-of-age memoir and am so thrilled to kick off my reading log of 2023 with this book. You might just believe in fate and magic by the end.
