I remembered most of these stories when rereading it so it was a quick reread.

These are a lot more wholesome than the first group of stories. A lot of these would be great teaching tools in the classroom.

It was okay, not as good as the flight series but still enjoyable

I liked this way more than the first book! I can actually say that i liked all of the stories and loved most them! My favourite was probably Carapace by Jason Caffoe. I want to read a whole graphic novel about their adventures! Will recommend this collection to everyone.

A really fun graphic anthology about islands. “Carapace” was by far my favorite.

Another great anthology of comics from different artists. Each story brought a different genre and art style to the table, but they were all equally enjoyable.

In this collection you will find short stories about talking rabbits, tropical island parties, ghost crabs, a girl's coming of age, prehistoric fish, and a retelling of Moby Dick with a fantasy twist.

Intrigued yet?

I have been interested in this graphic novel series for a while now so when I saw this one in the library I thought I’d give it a go.

Explorer: The Lost Islands is a short story collection in graphic novel form, each story written by different artists and illustrators.

I have to say I was extremely disappointed. The stories were too short so overall they all lacked depth and although I enjoyed the artwork in a few of them, this didn’t make up for the lack of content. I feel that this would have been better with less author contributions but longer stories as I just think that 20 pages for a graphic novel isn’t really enough.

Honestly, I couldn’t recommend this collection. I was thinking of giving it 2 stars because I like some of the artwork but I have to say that this was a great disappointment and I feel that the artwork doesn’t make up for the lack of story.

Once again, super cute!

I generally dislike short stories.. and I figured I would hate graphic novel-short stories even more so. But these are very well done, and while short - feel right. Both this novel and the first are well worth a read.

An interesting collection of graphic short stories.
