It certainly was an interesting read and one finds it hard to truly understand the suicides. What I did not particularly like were the long passages about side characters that didn't really matter. The plot felt really slow that way.
What I did like was how the story was told. The boys who were obsessed with the Lisbon girls presented the case with all the evidence they have collected over the years. That was an interesting approach. All in all an interesting but slow read.

Executed the male gaze so well and was an enjoyable read. We never got a clear reason as to why the girls were unhappy and did what they did because we only saw an idealised started down version of the girls through the boys’ perspective. Felt so relatable as a teenage girl.

This was like nothing I’ve read before. Completely understand how some people may hate it as it’s narrative and plot are very different to what is expected of the usual fiction book. But I found the writing style intriguing and the plot gripped me.
