It can’t be said that this book is dull! However, it’s certainly outdated particularly with respect to LGBT issues, the world of work and it’s slightly victim blaming attitude. My favourite section was the one on love - I didn’t expect such an erudite exploration of the concept of romance in literature or such a deep dive into Shakespeare. The closing paragraph on revolution, liberation and finding joy is one that would resonate with women and men everywhere
