nunez has some wonderful writing but i suppose i wasn't expecting this to be a covid novel, lol. i don't actually hate the covid lockdown genre that seems to popping up recently, but i didn't find this one as interesting or compelling as others. it's quite lovely but also a little bit... whatever?
