Dom and Jesse pick up immediately following the conclusion of With Reservations and decide to try and make a go of things. Dom continues with a somewhat rational/irrational fear of "everything falls apart at some point" in effect sabotaging the best relationship she's ever been a part of. Is starting out in a long distance relationship risky, absolutely. Will you always be able to be there when you say you will, absolutely not. The breakdown of this relationship reveals so much about both individuals involved and also proves that no one else can compare. The road to their HEA was one filled with me trying not to scream at these characters as my family sleep, but I enjoyed their journey and the conclusion to their love story. I'm not a violent person, but there were some supporting characters I wanted to smack around (Christina, Benji, Eve). I'm just saying.

A heartwarming and well deserved conclusion to a wonderful duet!

Book one ends with Jesse and Dominique making a tough decision and making us wonder how the future was going to look like for them. Seeing them again, with the spark and the chemistry intact was beautiful and swoony.

I loved this book for different reasons, but the one that stood out the intensity and how real it was to see them going through so many doubts, hesitations and struggles while being in a long distance relationship. I wanted to shake both of them in different occasions but I also understood them. It was an emotional journey full of angst and lessons about communication and trust.

As a person who has been in a long distance relationship for five years, I took many of the scenes so personally and I have to give a standing ovation to Mimi Flood for describing the struggles so vividly and realistically. I could see myself in both Dom and Jesse as they had to work hard to make things work. This is probably the aspect that I loved the most about this book. It was a book about real people, real relationships and how difficult it is to realize that loving each other by itself isn't enough. Love should be the fuel that makes the engine work from both sides. Being vulnerable, communicating our needs, fears and doubts clearly and trusting that the other person will listen and take care of us with the same effort that we'll put to take care of them. It's not one person's fight, it's a two way street.

I loved Dom's character development. She grew so freaking much through both books. She was still the strong, independent woman, this time with eyes completely open to see her wounds and little by little (and with many mistakes along the way) realizing what she was doing wrong, humble enough to fix it and learning to be vulnerable in order to take care of Jesse's heart.
My dear Jesse! I loved to see him fighting hard for Dom's love. His battle was so real and heartbreaking. I really enjoyed seeing that perfect guy I met in book 1 being broken and tired but never wanting to give up. He also made many mistakes and I literally swooned (not kidding, I felt it) when he realized he also needed to compromise in order to keep the woman of his dreams.

Both of them fought, learned and grew through the story and I found myself nodding with a smirk in my face.

It was a beautiful resolution to a couple that truly deserved to be together after so much heartache and struggle. The steam? chef's kiss, Dom and Jesse were hot and fun as always! And I have to say, the ending was absolutely perfect! It gave me exactly the closure I was expecting and even more!

Loved this couple, I'm so satisfied with this beautiful ending and I absolutely love Mimi's writing. Can't wait to see what else she has in store for her readers.

Oh my angst!!!! Wow, this book was incredible and I could not put it down. Mimi Flood did an amazing job of giving Dom and Jesse a second chance romance. The rollercoaster of emotions was up and down, back and forth, between Dom and Jesse and I was loving every second of it. Jesse is one of my new favorite heroes. While he had his flaws, he was still so loving and his broken heart was my broken heart. Mimi made me feel everything Jesse and Dom were feeling with the dual-POV.

You should definitely read the first book in this series before this one (With Reservations) in order to get the full background of Dom and Jesse's relationship. This book picks up right where that one ends. Without Hesitations has angst, steam, real raw emotions, and great character development. This is a must read!

Thank you to the author for an advanced copy of this book.
