This book is 75% sex and 25% clichΓ©s.
I was gonna applaud this book for its BIPOC representation but due to the abundance of sex, I couldn't emotionally connect with the any of the characters or the story.
I also didn't like the Insta-lust/love aspect and it wasn't done well enough for me to overlook it. Less endearing were the time skips as if they should solidify the bond that the two MCs have together.
Mostly though, I was just reading words on page with very little absorption. Waste of my time.

Filthy forbidden perfection. This novel will make you swoon... Let me rephrase that... This novel will make u howl like a freaking wolf. Tons of amazing sex scenes and equally heartbreaking emotional moments all packed in a small novella. Looking forward to read more books from this author. 4.5 stars ππππβ¨

It took me a bit to get into this, but once I did, I loved how sweet Asher and Zayn were with each other.
It's high heat and initially I was worried this was going to be the main focus of the story but it actually turned out to be a very readable coming of age with some important questions to raise about religion and acceptance.
There's decent character growth shown for both MC's, and although I felt their relationship lacked some authenticity early on, it grows into a genuine, loving relationship throughout the book.
The sex scenes edge into porn territory at times, which actually comes across as weirdly realistic when we consider how much porn teenaged boys are exposed to and how often they act it out.
I think you'll enjoy this if you like high heat romance with a taboo twist.

WOW. This one was GOOD!!!! Soooooooooo GOoOoOoODDDD. An absolute belter of a novel in MM romance genre. Such a difficult subject matter tackled and executed so perfectly to the end. A must read. I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend it if you love Angsty, Forbidden, kinda emotional and hella dirty( and just a bit kinky π) MM romance. 4.5 (watermelon sugar high) stars ππππβ¨

I recently discovered my love for M/M romance, so I was excited to jump into Zayn and Asherβs story. Forbidden romance due to family and religious ties make this story that much more emotional and addicting! The spice was *chefβs kiss* Not too much, since they are teenage boys haha! Iβm so glad I got to spend time with Zayn and Asher.
