Smut: good but a bit repetitive.

Protagonist: awful.
I enjoyed the story itself for what it is with the paranormal, Fae, mate, magic, kingdoms, loyalties and royalties etc. But the magic system is really confusing, although the protagonist spends so much time in the library, we don't ever become more familiar with how far magic works which is ridiculous. Some of the choices the protagonist makes are so frustrating like dancing with the half-breed royal brother after clocking that people are into the way you feel about him... Like what? So many really frustrating moments and the instalove first meeting wasn't as well executed as I'd hoped. I won't go on to the next one but this is a short book and I can see why others like it. Just not for me.

This is my favourite trilogy to date. I fell in love with every character so fast and the tension between the main characters was giving. It was a nice easy and enjoyable read for me!! Not to mention vampire smut!
