I am enemies to lovers obsessed and this was perfect! Friends to lovers to enemies to lovers just HITS DIFFERENT. The pacing was perfect, the progression of their relationship felt so real and natural. I loved the throw ins of angst, and seeing a bad boy return to his truth. Spectacular read

I do love small town, country singer related books and this one was no different. But throwing in the drama that Ava Hunter does, even though it’s intense and kind of crazy, I love it even more, like you just know you’re gonna get some wild stuff in her books and that’s just how I like it. The drama and the romance and the small town vibes just make for a great book IMO

Find You Again by Ava Hunter
Thank you so much to @authoravahunter for reaching out to me and getting me an early copy of Find You Again! I don’t always have time to read arcs but when Ava sent me a description of her book, I couldn’t say no. It was calling out to me! This book is a second chance romance between high school sweethearts Alabama Forester and Griff Greyson.
Alabama Forester was finally making her dreams come true-becoming a chart topping country singer in Nashville. And she did it all without Griff Greyson-the man she loved who left her behind in their small town of Clover, TX without so much as a goodbye. But she isn’t doing it the way she wants to be, and when she finds herself dethroned as the country/pop princess amid a scandal, Alabama finds herself back in Clover waiting tables at the diner to try to make ends meet.
Griff Greyson is country music’s resident bad boy, with the reputation to go along with it. Griff’s label is tired of his antics and they are giving him one more shot to clean it up. Go on tour…and bring Alabama Forester along as his opening act. It’s an offer Alabama can’t say no to-but as soon as she and Griff are back in each other’s lives they quickly realize those old feelings from 12 years ago haven’t left. In fact they’ve gotten stronger. But Alabama is determined to make this comeback count-and that doesn’t include getting together with this bad boy, even if she’s still head over heels in love with him.
This book was not super spicy as fas as sex scenes go, but there was a lot of sexual tension. But the story! I was so invested in Griff and Alabama! And the way Ava wrote them-I felt like I was deep in the heart of Texas listening to those two talk! I loved their story and I’m so glad I got the chance to read it!
Find You Again releases January 3 and will be available on KU and paperback!

Honestly a book where both MCS are the villians and how they know theyve messed up and continue to mess up to now rebuilding there image but also having so much history behind each other. It was beautifully written, and i loved them both the push and pull was great. Both feelings were actually valid was he a a hole absolutely but im a girl who loves morally grey men.

I was sceptical when I realised that Alabama would be getting a book. I was NOT happy with her behaviour in the previous book, even though she did own up to it. Was still salty for Luke and Sal.
But @authoravahunter really redeemed her character with her backstory as well as her regret over what she did. It also helped that she lost her career

the dual pov third person combined with the thick southern dialect choices for characters from texas? wasn't gonna work for me. might try another book in the series at some point tho bc i did appreciate the ~vibes~
