Is this the best book? No. But it got me out of a reading slump that has been plaguing me and for that I adore it.
A simple premise but a fun one. With debtors at the doors and four younger sisters to care for Kitty throws herself into the London season to hunt herself a wealthy husband to solve the family's money woes - and naturally a titled gentleman sees right through her as she captures his brothers affections and he sets out to shake her off only to end up embroiled in her schemes via blackmail.
The characters were sympathetic and endearing and the family relationships were particularly charming to me. There could've been a bit more to the romance at the end, but I can see why the author wrote it as she did, and it doesn't detract from it heavily, even if it does feel like a fast wrap up towards the end.
Regency, high society, family drama and affection, hijinks abound, light hearted.

This book had a slow start for me, but I'm glad I stuck with it. It was interesting to have a heroine that had to plot to get to where she needed to be while still keeping her integrity. I also liked the nods to how fortunes may change and what you may need to pay attention to. I had a good time with it.
Entretenido, divertido y con la cantidad justa de drama, suspense y romance. Entras de lleno en la historia que se presenta y enseguida quieres saber cómo va a solucionar cada impedimento que se le presenta a la protagonista. A medida que avanza la historia los personajes van evolucionando, mientras la protagonista continúa su búsqueda, otros personajes comienzan a destacar de tal manera que se hace inevitable querer saber qué piensan. Y así se posiciona el punto de vista de un posible coprotagonista muy interesante.
Lectura sencilla, diría rápida incluso, con una ambientación impoluta que te suelta en medio de la época de regencia sin que te des cuenta y consigue hacer tuyas las maneras de aquellos tiempos. Grata sorpresa esta lectura de una autora novel pero con mucho potencial. Espero con ganas más libros suyos.

I suppose that if you have never read a good historical romance, and you start with this one as your first, then you might be inclined to believe that it is good. as someone who has read many historical romances, I was extremely disappointed. This was severely overhyped. Just because a story is set in Regency England does not mean it has to be boring as fuck.
