3 Stars. Read this book for class and actually ended up kinda liking it. The flashes of the future at the end were pretty jarring. Overall a solid short story.

So I was given to this book due to the project in my English class. Just by a few lines summarize from a long list of books to choose from, I chose this one for doing my project.
The story was kinda short (mostly because it was published on a newspaper). The main idea is the safari trip to Africa with Charlie, Rolph, Lou - their father and Mindy - his girlfriend, and how this trip affect their lifes or maybe with someone it'd be the game-changer.
Although I expected the story would be more emotionnal, full-filled by the family's values or at least a moral to be found by reading this book, I have to admit that I found nothing close to my expectation. Also how the author mixed between the main story itself and the future of each characters made me confused a little bit. And then she also used that method to end the story which is kinda surprising (but not in a good way, in my opinion). Fully understanding that this was a short-story-only-published-on-newspaper, I hope that maybe we could change it another way or make a prequel for a more precise view.
