This was a cute and quick read! I would have liked a little more at the end to see the reunion between Simon and his mom, but still fun :)

....'a giant called Uncle Lieutenant and his friend Jane.’

Lieutenant Grint has been one of my favorite Time Police characters ever since he gave the best description of Wuthering Heights back in Saving Time  Book 3 of The Time Police:
"Grint frowned ‘Is that the one where everyone lives in the kitchen and shouts at each other across the moors?’‘.......Everyone hates everyone else, right? I don’t know why they didn’t just call it a day and come in out of the rain.’

Was so fun to see him featured in a story. He's a Ginormous Cinnamon Roll:  "And well done for not being what people expect you to be. Sometimes you just have to say to people, “No, this is how I am. Live with it.”

And yes I did miss Max. But I always miss her when's she not on page.
