These stories grossed me out! It was a fun read for the month of October. Only thing: the stories got sadder as they went along. They didn't necessarily feel like horror stories to me, more so tragedies. But I really enjoyed the author's writing, and was enamored a good amount of the time! 3.5 stars

This short story collection was less Hit or Miss and more Hit or Meh. Some of the stories here were riveting and horrifying (The Head, The Embodiment, The Cursed Bunny, and Snare) and others were disappointing. Bora Chung's imagination is vast and hoping into each story not knowing what to expect was half the fun of reading so I won't delve into plot details. Expect to find horror, but do not expect to be blown away by every story.
