bora chung's writing is both brutal and perfect, making me feel like cheering all the way through. the stories are disturbing and vividly realized due to the author's meticulous and matter-of-fact writing style. the plots flow smoothly, leaving me unable to stop reading despite the unsettling feeling they invoke.

my favorite story in the collection is "the head," which is a tale of a woman being tortured by a creature that appears in her toilet. It is an oddly upsetting yet surreally humorous story that puts the reader on edge from the very beginning.

cursed bunny is an outstanding read for anyone looking for something truly mind-blowing. anton hur did a wonderful job with the translation, making it an easy and quick read.

as with many short story collections, there were some hits and misses. "the head" is a marvel, and i found most of the stories that followed lacking, but there are glimpses of beauty and horror.

This really didn't speak to me. The stories are grotesque and depressing, and I didn't feel anything poetic or moving or beautiful or meaningful.

¿Conejo maldito? ¿Puede un libro tener un título y una portada más llamativos? 

Conejito maldito es un compendio de cuentos cortos que abordan temas muy variados, a menudo con elementos mágicos o surrealistas, de esos que te hacen preguntarte "qué acabo de leer". Las historias nos llevan a un viaje lleno de sorpresas: hijos que emergen de una taza de váter, princesas del desierto, monstruos que arrasan pueblos...

Como he mencionado otras veces, no soy una gran fan de las historias cortas. Insisto en ellas porque me parecen un formato ideal cuando no tienes mucho tiempo para leer, y las lecturas largas se me complican por la falta de memoria. Sin embargo, nunca logro conectar con ellas, me aburren o me confunden porque aglutinan demasiada información en muy poco espacio.

Pero este libro fue todo lo contrario. Disfruté cada una de las historias, especialmente las más extravagantes, donde la realidad se mezcla con elementos mágicos. Además, muchos de los finales son tan emotivos que te dejan el corazón encogido y te invitan a reflexionar sobre lo que acabas de leer.

Sin duda, un libro inolvidable.
