I don’t really know how to review this but to say that I enjoyed it. A group of people get stuck in a basement consulate/visa office due to an earthquake, each with their own histories and deep biases (seriously content warning for racism, islamaphobia, misogyny... not as part of the narrative so much as the characters’ biases. They are all flawed). One of them suggest that each tell a story of something from their life to pass the time. The stories themselves are short, but intriguing; there’s minimal commentary between them, but you can see how they bring the group together by the end.
Moderate: Racism, Misogyny, Islamophobia, Death, Suicide, Suicidal thoughts, and Emotional abuse
