(from notes in the reading log)
* Novella about a princess locked in the top floor of a tower and must get herself out with the help of a fairy named Cobweb
* The narration uses the occasional "I" and "you" pronouns and I thought those would come into play during the story, but it didn't. They were just a flourish to keep us in the fairy tale mindset
* Also thought the ending a little anti-climatic.
We hear about the dragon all book but Floralinda fights and kills it off-screen. Then she becomes a monster in the tower for the next princess to fight.

* Have some issues with Cobweb's feelings for Floralinda.
Because Floralinda kidnaps (basically) Cobweb, imposes a gender on the fairy, and refuses to free Cobweb until the final flight. Yet Cobweb returns and mentions the "being sick" feeling Floralinda described as love. Should I worry about Muir's idea on where and how love should flourish?

* Despite all of this, I really enjoyed it! Would recommend to other fans of twisted fairy tales
* Finished 1 December 2020
