💭My thoughts:

This one was bonkers, and I have to say, Julie Tudor is definitely a psycho! 😂 It’s dark, sad, disturbing… and yet, totally entertaining. I flew through it in a day, so it’s definitely bingeable. There were a few moments that felt cringey or uncomfortable (and honestly, that was kind of the point), but the story’s twisted nature kept me completely hooked. Julie’s delusions and her wildly unhinged inner monologue were both horrifying and fascinating. I just had to know how far she’d go, and how long she could keep getting away with it.

This book isn’t for everyone, it’s definitely out there, but if you’re in the mood for something dark, unsettling, and a little outrageous, it’s a wild ride. It’s the kind of story that gets under your skin and makes you wonder how close fiction can get to real life obsession. A totally unique experience.

This book and its protagonist, Julie, are profoundly unhinged! I initially picked it up expecting an entertaining read, but instead, I was thrust into a dark and unsettling story.

Julie’s obsession with her younger coworker, Sean, drives the plot forward as we witness her relentless pursuit to make him hers. The story weaves through multiple timelines, revealing Julie’s past love interests and her goal to eliminate the competition. The story sheds light on how her childhood and university experiences shaped her current mental state. Her inner dialogue is chilling, making her obsession all the more disturbing.

While the narrative occasionally feels repetitive and does tend to drag, there is also an absence of humor or levity which creates a dark tone.

If you have a penchant for unhinged characters, this novel is for you and is available now.

I really wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't get through it. I love delulu characters, but Julie was just unlikeable and I couldn't find any sympathy for her. After 2 hours, I just can't imagine sitting through it any more, so I am DNFing it.

This book was a wild ride!

Jules, I hope you don’t come for me for shortening your name, but honestly, you are a total Psychopath! 😄

While the writing isn’t the best you’ll ever find, it’s fast-paced, funny, dark, and overall a fun read.

There were times I almost felt sorry for Julie because it seemed like some people treated her poorly. At least that’s how she portrayed it, but let’s be honest—she's definitely not the most trustworthy storyteller. Just when I started to feel sorry for her, she would do something really awful and all my sympathy would disappear.

One thing I struggled with was the pets in the story. Even though the details weren’t graphic, it was easy to figure out what happened, and it made me really uncomfortable. Funny enough, I ended up caring more about a guinea pig than the humans in the book!

That said, this was still a quick and enjoyable read!
