I first read this in high school, but it was so long after I had read the first book that I forgot a good chunk of what had happened. I am glad that I have now read them back to back! I feel like Eldest is an improvement from Eragon. We get to learn more about elf culture, and the overall lore of the land. I still stand by my opinion that this series is mainly Star Wars, but with dragons instead of the Force.
Graphic: Death, Ableism, Blood, Violence, Gore, and Animal death
Moderate: Death of parent, Body horror, Kidnapping, and Medical content
Minor: Slavery, Vomit, and Suicide

Eragon really is so annoying. I’m mostly drawn to Roran’s story in this one, though learning more about magic and other customs is interesting (even if it’s not very action packed)
Graphic: Gore, Grief, Chronic illness, Injury/Injury detail, War, Blood, and Vomit
Moderate: Bullying, Misogyny, Death of parent, Sexism, and Death
