Really beautiful world, creatures, story, and characters. The plot and world are very unique and the relationship people in the book have with dragons and other creatures is really lovely. Good writing and well done characters, decent balance between plot and romance. Romance was more complicated and nuanced than many main stream romantasy stories.

I am obsessed with all things dragons so I was super excited to read this book and it was great. I mean, the world building was absolutely exquisite and I could imaging everything so vividly too.  The part about the fallen moon and how they describe the dragons, I am obsessed. Like this was such a perfect dragon kind of book and the little diary entries made it even better and sweeter. Like the moon with the wonky wing was so cute and heartfelt and I adored it.

I loved Kaan, and who doesn’t? The strong and independent hotty who treats you like your own independent person… wow… He was definitely kinda a mess but I can’t really judge for that haha.

About Raeve… at first her whole angsty thief and rebel thing was badass and cool cause that’s obviously what you want from an FMC, but it started getting SUPER annoying and repetitive? Where was the character development? Where was the usage of her brain? I feel like the author got a little too caught up in making her seem cool and rebellious.

If you like dragons, I would recommend, but be patient with the main character hahaha. Overall, a great read.

I really liked this book and am looking forward to the next one. I am a big fantasy romance fan, especially when there’s also world building and an interesting plot. The only reason that this wasn’t a 5-star read for me is because of how complicated some of the world’s elements were, like time keeping, I kept having to refer back to the glossary and backtrack to make sure I was understanding what was going on. Really great twists and turns though if you can keep up.

I was very confused by the world and the magic system in this book. It took me a couple hundred pages to start to understand the world. The plot moved slowly but did pick up in the last one hundred pages.
