might call sinners anonymous myself and confess that the biggest sin is wasting my time reading this

an extra rating for slight entertainment because every time i thought it couldn’t get worse, it somehow laughably does?

I don’t really know what to think of this book because so much happened but at the same time nothing happened. It wasn’t as romance heavy as I thought it was going to be and the book didn’t pick up until the 50% mark. That being said I enjoyed the mafia aspect and the setting was cool. I liked Rory and I liked her individual story. I wanted to see more of Angelo from his own point of view and I wish that there was more substance to their relationship on page. Overall I had a good time and it was a short fun mafia story.

1. Rory is dumb. I know she's young but omfg, it's not an excuse for being stupid. So you think you can call an hotline to tell about bad things you do but it won't backfire on you somehow? In a city full of mafia bitch? SHE CAN'T EVEN CONFESS RIGHT.
2. DON'T FUCKING CALL HIM DADDY. That's disgusting.
3. What do you guys mean, it's better than The Made series? Do you wanna die?

Typical mafia book only one that is interesting is Gabe, so I will continue reading this series just him.

This was so good! I have had it in my TBR for forever and I have no idea why.

The last several mafia romances I’ve read have been so CHEESY. The plots. The dialogue. All of it. This was so well done and I was hooked start to finish.

The plot was interesting and not overly done. There was enough going on to keep me entertained, but not so much over the top crap where I was rolling my eyes at the unrealistic nature of it.

The characters fell in love at a realistic pace and the slow burn was perfect. I typically hate a slow burn, but it made this book so much better. Again, a lot of insta-love or insta-passion happens in mafia romances. Not here! Somme built up their connection perfectly and I loved their relationship.

The fact that this is a series makes it even BETTER. I hope the following books keep the momentum going and just as well done.
