I love this book and would like to own it. The illustrations aren't as timeless as I'd like them to be (dated 1990s clothes on the children), but they are beautiful. Each month is represented by a short poem and an illustration that captures the essence of its season. Here's an example:

March eats the winter;
icicles drip from its mouth
to fall on secret gardens.
Crocuses wake,
stain the melting snow with gold.

Kids are introduced to poetry, and parents get to enjoy the book as much as their kids.
