Not at all what I was expecting going into this book and I was a bit taken aback at first but it grew into a really good story. I was expecting romance book and instead got SI which was very depressing/dark start. None of the characters are very lovable but that’s because they’re really flawed based people. It’s a good writing style but idk how many people I’d truly recommend this book to. It’s a touch niche energy vibes.

MAN, this book is phenomenal. Truth be told, literary fiction & I have not been getting along recently, and this book single-handedly convinced me not to give up on it just yet.

The writing is INCREDIBLE. The depictions of grief & depression were so raw and consuming, but it was PERFECTLY balanced out with comedy & friendship, keeping it from becoming too bleak.

Truly amazing, highly recommend!

I really really enjoyed this book, and not just because my best friend is friends with Alison Espach :)

This is definitely a "beach read" type book, but woven into the lighthearted tone were some genuinely lovely musings on what makes a life worthwhile, what makes a person a whole human, and the beauty of friendship and true human connection. It was such a fun read

that I didn't mind the predictability or cliches.

Recommended!!
