The first 1/4 of this book was so depressing, and the main character so depressing, that I almost DNF'd it. But then I it turned around. I still didn't love it, but once it got past the dark beginning, the story got lighter and more enjoyable.

I loved this book. Although the content/trigger warnings seem horrible, it really is a hopeful, uplifting, loving story about life. This book is why I love to read.
