Rattlesnakes and The DOGS of Lincoln Park were awful, basically just filler to justify the rest of the book. The only point of Rattlesnakes was to try to be shocking, but it doesn't work. Whereas there's not much point to DOGS at all.

If You Liked School You'll Love Work... was okay, standard Welsh with a clever twist and a different setting.

Miss Arizona is the best of Welsh's writing set in America, although that's a fairly low bar. I think the setting (it's mostly in Arizona, with parts in LA) helps.

The King of Fife is brilliant. I kind of got the sense that he didn't want to publish it as a novella (thus the rest of the filler material), but it really does hold its own. It's sort of a standard Welsh tale but with a fairy tale/medieval metaphor serving as a foundation. Loved it.

I didn't finish the book because these stories just didn't have that special element that I so often find in Welsh's stories, like Trainspotting, Porno, and Marabou Stork Nightmares

Found this on a bookshelf while on holiday years ago and read it solely because the cover looked interesting. The contents of the book were, however, disappointing.
