Black Edition Vol 5 contains the original volumes 9 & 10. Volume 9 for me was a weaker part of the story that was necessary to tie up loose ends and to set the ground work to reach the next level of Kira's power. Volume 10 introduces new characters, new dynamics and a really exciting build up to the next installment which is all so great that I forgive the complicated nature of volume 9. The whole of Black Edition Vol 5 is low on shinagami presence which is a real shame for me but there's also less of the annoying but useful Misa. Light's changing relationship with Misa shows how he is maturing and evolving. I can't wait to read Black Edition Vol 6!
