Volume 5 is very action heavy. Introducing another of the unique titan class and putting our main characters under a little more pressure

There is lesser action in this book but the story telling is so good. We get flashbacks from before and they are kind of jumbled but I loved the twists and turns and the cliffhanger at the end. The art has improved and I'm excited to see where the story goes from here in the future volumes.

Maybe a 4.5 stars? I LOVE the first half of this volume. I don't remember the first chapter from watching the anime (not that it wasn't in there), and it was fascinating to read. Also, the scenes where Eren is on trial are just as engaging and shocking the second time around as they were watching them the first.

As to the second half of the volume, it seemed like the story went by too fast. I don't know that I would have fully understood what was happening if not for having watched the anime first. Portions of the action could have been fleshed out a lot more.

A lot of action in Volume Six! And a certain type of Titan gets introduced…
