Wow! This book was hard to get through. It was very boring and did not add much to my knowledge about Padme. The only things I did appreciate was the minimal understanding of how the Galatic Senate works and her relationship with Clovis (although I wish they would have built it more). If you have the free time, take the read. But don’t expect much.

i really enjoyed this and it was interesting to be able to have something canon explaining what padme did when first becoming senator.

This was such an unexpected delight; it gave me a newfound love for Padmé and all of her handmaidens that I otherwise wouldn’t have. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

I love Padmé so much. The book was amazing because it was all about Padmé and her getting stuff done in the Senate. I agree with the assessment (of one Sarah Hass) that it was a little slow. The beginning and end were incredibly interesting, but the middle was just a lot of non-action and thinking. I recommend this book to those who love Padmé, love Star Wars, or love the politics of Star Wars but would not recommend it to those who have not seen Star Wars or are just here for the cool lightsaber parts of Star Wars. There are no lightsabers in this book. To summarize, 10/10, would recommend, love Padmé.
