FIVE STARS for a compelling story, and characters to care about!

I really enjoyed the roller coaster of emotion this book brought on. Just know going in that this book is NOT romance, and it is not HAPPY.

This is Jessica Calla's debut in the Women's Fiction genre, and it's a grand slam! I loved it so much! I felt every emotion that Maple did, and I fought with her and beside her the whole time. Her life took some really unexpected turns, and I could not of guessed how this one would end. I was engaged in this one the whole time.

This is literally one of my favorite books that I ever read! I found it so hard to put down. The whole thing read like an emotional, action-packed movie. In fact, I could see Netflix or a big movie studio turning this into a movie. It really made me think about what's important in life and how decisions we make can really impact the lives of others.

This one started out well, with non-stop action, but a lack of character development kept me from having any attachment to the people or what happened to them by the end.
