It’s been a while….
Read this through audiobook then finished it on my iPad, god it’s been a while since I read something and I’m Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is the book that made me read again, of course I had to since the movie is coming out tomorrow! Definitely a good read, had to power through the first few chapters but definitely picked its pace up. President Snow is really evil that’s a given but seeing his romantic side gave me feelings but then you see how evil and see what his beliefs are is really interesting and just adds more to him. Lucy Gray was a cute character, just vibes and her exit in the book was just PERFECT! God I cannot wait to witness this movie change my life tomorrow.

Dark and gory AF. (The movie significantly turned down the gore.) It turned my stomach a few times, but it was pretty epic. The character development of Snow was awesome. I would read an entire series just on Snow and his journey to the beginning of the Hunger Games trilogy. I hope Collins writes more prequels.
