This is a heck of a sequel, and while it doesn’t quite reach the heights of its predecessor, it is a very good book. However, my one problem was that it could’ve been cut down just a bit, as the story meandered at times. But as Wanderers sort of predicted the future, this one looks back on the one that we just lived. And it did it in a pretty good way, definitely worth the read.

The first book was better. This book is good, but a little long winded. 800 pages could've/should've been 550-600. I mean, did we really need the POV of a dog? I promise, we really didn't.
It is a good follow-up to Wanderers. I enjoyed it.

I cannot emphasize enough how brilliant Chuck Wendig is as a writer. There are not enough superlatives! If you haven't ventured into his Wanderers/Wayward books, please do... the writing feels like a best friend telling you an incredible story.

Though I haven’t read the first book in this series this is easily a stand alone book. It kept me intrigued, was relevant in many (scary) ways, and I look forward to ready more of his books.

The first book was captivating and well-paced. This one is the same, with a few amazing reveals. I don't read 300 pages in a day, maybe once in my 51 years of living, but I did it to finish this book. Recommended. Really.
