Was this the best hp story I've read? No. Was it enjoyable? Yes! I love the world of HP and I was very excited to read this screen play so I can be immersed in that world for the last time. The story was a little all over the place, but that is likely due to the format of the 'book' and the need to cover many years as quickly as possible in the beginning. Overall, I really enjoyed the story and it was a pleasure to see my favorite characters again. For future readers, go into this with an open mind, it is not like the first 7 books but that is a good thing. Enjoy it and let yourself go on a journey back into the magical world.

Yes I have read it and no I haven't seen the play. Honestly I'm sure it's beautiful to see, reading the script you can see that there is a lot to do visually speaking, but that's the only good thing with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Because the plot is BAD. I almost said it was "fanfiction bad" but there are LOTS of Harry Potter fanfictions way better than that. I can't believe JKR let this happen.

Though it uses the two most popular/hated fanfictions tropes : time traveling and a secret child.
Second thing : I can't believe what they did with Cedric Diggory. It's so out of character it hurts (and I'm not even a fan of the character to begin with).

What the heck, man.
Congrats, gang, you made the time travel of probably the only universe where time travel makes sense, and you just?? Don't apply the rules??? What, this one singular time turner is special?? The chosen one?? Why did it survive? Why does it do the things it does?

And we're just not going to talk about the trolley lady. That physically hurt.
