The cover bills this as a Rocket Deadpool team-up which should have been awful. Instead it was a grab-bag of odd team-up stories. Ranging from a Nightcrawler/Gamora caper which would have been better if it was longer to an Ant-Man/Drax collision which could have been shorter. The Groot/Surfer story was basically wordless and impenetrable. The Spider-Man/Peter Quill/Black Cat story was dumb but short. And then finally the cover story - Rocket and Deadpool - two characters who are basically terrible on their own - and yet it was readable though silly. And on to Deadpool and Galactus - which would have been better unwritten. So definitely not bad. But nothing worth going out of your way to read.

The Rocket / Wade team up was everything I never knew I needed.

I somehow got Vol 2 first. Start here: [b:Guardians Team-Up Vol. 1: Guardians Assemble|23732097|Guardians Team-Up Vol. 1 Guardians Assemble|Brian Michael Bendis|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1437356627s/23732097.jpg|43344261].

This was a fun little compilation of stand-alone stories...and like the title says...were team-ups between different Marvel characters & the Guardians of the Galaxy. Nightcrawler & Gamora, Ant-Man & Drax, a nearly-incomprehensible one w/ the Silver Surfer & Groot, Spiderman & Star Lord, & my favorite: Deadpool & Rocket.

A fun little read that didn't require a ton of knowledge of the Marvel storylines.

I love the art work and the crossovers are just brilliant! Some of my favourite characters too ^_^
