The slowest burn I've ever read from a thriller. Only picked up at the 7 hour mark. Which is a little unfortunate that you spend 7 hours listening to only get 2 hours of intriguing action.

This was like if an episode of Law and Order met Desperate Housewives. It was pretty slow up until like 70% then I finished it in one sitting.

Really liked this book! Definitely gave me Big Little Lies vibes (the show, at least)

Ooh this was funnn. I LIVE for drama like this. The audiobook cast was excellent.

Basically the whole thing is there's lots of juicy juicy drama and you know someone is dead but you don't know who is dead. It's very Housewives of wheverever...Upper class and middle aged - these women love to gossip and lie and spend money.

TBH, one of my biggest gripes was this HIGH END salon only had TWO employees - absolutely not. AND these very rich women were getting regular polish instead of acrylic of gel-x on their nails - absolutely not. ANYWAYS, I read [listened] to this really fast and really liked it.

Jeneva Rose has yet to disappoint. Queen of twists and yummy dialogue.

The women in Buckhead have it all - money, prestige and influence.  And the ones that don’t will do whatever it takes to get into the inner circle of Buckhead’s elite.  Jenny owns Glow, a full service spa that caters exclusively to this influential crowd.  But Jenny hears things.  And knows things.  And the people’s lives in Buckhead are nothing like they seem.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

Tropes:
“Perfect” Suburbia
Queen Bee Bitch
Haves vs. Have-nots

Triggers:
Con Dom/Sub
Murder
Trafficking
Infidelity

My Thoughts:
This was the first book I have read by Jeneva Rose and it did not disappoint.  The ladies in this story are a train wreck that you cannot look away from, and vengeance is served in the most delicious way.

Admit I’m a bit conflicted about the morality throughout the story, but if I ignore that, I can justify enjoying it.

The ending on this felt a little rushed. Also a bit too much telling rather than showing. But I loved the characterization of each woman and how they felt like their own whole characters. I do wish that Olivia’s obvious sociopathy was explored a bit more.
