Amazing. Simply amazing.

Rlatable, funny. Her personality (and acting) makes for great storytelling. There were chapters where I aughed myself to tears. And also chapters with real tears bc, wow, she's had some tragedy in her life. And her writing skill really surprised me!

She's so multi-talented, and I can't wait to read the next one!

I loved this book- especially listening on audio. It was like Gabrielle Union was speaking to me about her life, her struggles. I enjoy reading more and understanding what actors go through other than just their movies. It felt just like a boozy conversation with a friend. It isn't fluffy but it is a real exploration of race, violence, and sexuality. It is truly a life book

I put off reading this because I'd heard so many good things, and I was afraid it wouldn't live up to the hype. It absolutely does. Union is so funny while also delivering deep truth bombs about being Black in America (her family calls them her Black bombs).
