A beautifully woven tale depicting the undying love between mother and child.

It's not that I didn't like this book, it's just that it wasn't as touching as 'Five People...' was. I know this isn't 'Five People...', and the books are about two totally different men, but I think the main difference is that I just really didn't like Chick Benetto, the lead character in 'For One More Day'. He was not a good person, and even when he tried, it just didn't seem sincere.
I did like the idea of the story though...what would you do or say if you were to have one more day with a loved one who's passed away? I also like Mr. Albom's other take on 'heaven' in this book, that Chick's mother helps those that call out to her in their final hours. And I was very satisfied with the ending. It wasn't something that I expected at all.
But in the end, I think my biggest problem with this book was that I just couldn't stand two important characters, Chick, and Chick's father. My immense dislike for them was a little distracting from the story itself. But this aside, it wasn't a bad book, it's just not a book that really merits much attention in opinion.

A great simple read from Mitch Albom that shows the reader the power a mother-son relationship and how although it may change, a mother will always be a mother.

I just couldn't read about a mother's death at the moment.

I just love how he felt remorse for not standing up for her mother when he was a child.

Not the best book by Mitch Albom, but it was a nice and light read. Looking forward to the next one!
