This was a super fun book to read!! I really have no complaints about it. Clementine was such a lovable character that I became attached to her pretty quickly. The book has a unique flavor of snark and I love how it explored being a typical Evil Dark Lord. There were lots of funny and cute moments, as well as plenty emotional ones. This book hits the right blend of having serious topics that middle grade readers are ready for while still maintaining a lighthearted enough mood that the story is still enjoyable, though I'd definitely put it at the higher end of middle grade based on blood and injury descriptions. Still, I definitely plan on getting this book in print (read it through Libby) and adding it to my list of cozy fantasy reads! 4 and a half ⭐!
