4 stars.

So, not quite as perfect for me the second time around. But close.
Seb is great, but he has a few moments where he says things that seem out of character. And that annoyed me. This is a pretty slow burn, which is good. But the book felt a little long at times. Annabelle is treated like an object too much, and it bugs me that she is ok with it from Seb, because she likes him. Im not sure why this bothers me particularly in this book, i suppose it’s because it is brought up so often by multiple characters.
All of the earl/grandmother/uncle stuff was a little ew, and i had to stop thinking about that as soon as possible.
Im kind of shipping Sebs cousin and Annas Cousin. Wouldn’t they be cute?

This particular audiobook narrator is still not my favorite. So this may have impacted my rating slightly. In particular, the tone of the characters. She has her strengths, but sometimes it just misses the mark for me. This is one i liked more than others though.

Really enjoyed this trilogy and it is fun that they didn't just follow the Bevelstoke siblings from the 1st book but branched out to other characters we met along the way.

I had a suspicion that Seb was the author in Book 2. That was fun.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED THIS SERIES when I first discovered Julia Quinn and read (what I thought was) her entire backlist in one fell swoop.

I adored Sebastian and Annabel is a treasure. The Ten Things theme got kind of annoying quickly, but overall this was definitely in the pile of Julia-Quinn-Books-I-Loved. (The pile of Julia-Quinn-Books-I-Didn't-Love is very small but it DOES exist.)
lighthearted

Short, sweet read about Annabel and Sebastian. Sort of predictable as it is a romance novel after all but was still an enjoyable story.
adventurous emotional funny hopeful lighthearted mysterious tense fast-paced

Just terrible

Lovely book. Not as good as [b:What Happens in London|5500109|What Happens in London (Bevelstoke #2)|Julia Quinn|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51cFgJCzFJL._SL75_.jpg|5574977], but definitely better than [b:The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever|110387|The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever (Bevelstoke, #1)|Julia Quinn|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1274212433s/110387.jpg|1790570]. A good, light, funny read.
