Silly Paddington Bear gets caught up in the acts during a circus show and ends up being one of the funniest attractions. Longer story good for grade 1+

This is the original version of "Paddington Bear at the Circus". The story is the same but in the updated version the dialog is snappier, the illustrations have more detail, and the action hangs together better - this one is dull by comparison.

This is a larger sized and fully illustrated book for children and the young at heart adult to read. The illustrations are so cute and fun to look at which was my motivation for reading them in the first place! Paddington is adorable in this series of books for kids who are advancing with their reading.

In this adventure Paddington is excited to hear that the circus are in town for one night only and Mr Brown has got them great tickets. The sights and sounds are very exciting to a bear but when he sees the man on the trapeze,he thinks that the man is in trouble and Paddington is just the bear to try to lend a paw!

Paddington is such a sweet curious bear living with humans. In this book he learns about the circus, and is 'helpful' to the performers as well. Colorful and fun, and my baby was very interested in the illustrations.

Book #49 for 2014

This was a cute story, and I liked that it wasn't predictable. I wish that I hadn't had to rush through it, so I may re-read this one to fully appreciate the illustrations. I had never read a Paddington book before, so this has piqued my interest in reading the earlier books someday and maybe even watching the movie.
