A history of the Stonewall Riots along with the fight for LGBTQ rights.

This is by the far the worst book in this series. I felt like I got nothing from it. The whole time traveling with a bird was such a bizarre choice on how to tell the story. I thought this would be more moving and emotional, but it just comes off like a very quick, boring history lesson. There should have been more details on the people participating in the Riots and the movement. I wanted to know their stories and struggles. Even the section talking about the AIDS epidemic just gave random facts with no heart.

Overall, a really disappointing, bland story about an important moment and movement in time.

I was disappointed in this book. I love this series and was excited to see this topic covered. It, however, is way to heavy on exposition and lessons. It doesn't let the event speak for itself. I do enjoy the cast of characters and appreciate the variety of representations we see in the book.

A great way to share information about the Stonewall Riots that many don’t even know about.

I feel like there could have been more historical information but I liked the time travel/civil rights angle too.
